Circular letter 0055/2021 to Revision of Salaries for Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) with effect from 1 October 2021.

A full-time SNA’s gross salary is equivalent to the relevant point on the Sna salary scale. Where a Sna works part-time, their salary is calculated on a pro-rata basis for each hour worked. An Entry Level Sna with less than three years of experience can expect to earn €26,000 gross per year on average. A mid-career Sna with 4-9 years of experience earns an average compensation of €31,000, while a Sna with 10-20 years of experience makes on average €36,000. Sna with more than 20 years of experience may earn more than €39,000.
