Jockey Lorna Brooke dies 10 days after the horror fall from the horse.
Lorna Brooke, the amateur rider suffered an awful fall at Taunton racecourse on 8 April 2021.
She was the first British rider in the racing accident since 2005.

Lorna Brooke was taken to the Southmead hospital by air ambulance after she at the third fence in a handicap chase.
Brooke was Riding Horse Orchestrated, trained by her mother Lady Susan Brooke.
Orchestrated was unscathed following the fall.

She was placed into a coma after a fall in Somerset caused her brain to suffer a significant swelling.
The amateur jockey, who rode 17 winners in Britain and Ireland, has been described as ‘the loveliest person you’d hope to meet who ‘set the standards’ in the jockey world.

A minute’s silence was held before Monday’s British race meetings. Jockeys wore black armbands as a mark of respect.
